Liz's Teaching Work
Liz works with schools and colleges as a visiting artist and has worked across the ability range and taught in the inner-cities of Melbourne, London, Liverpool and Leeds. She is skilled in the full range of studio activities, including textiles, technology and visual art.
Liz: "My philosophy is that I believe learning is a life-long journey and art can light the way and my teaching ethos is, ‘be firm and friendly, but never familiar’. My students learn art appreciation skills and become capable of describing, analysing, interpreting and critiquing other people’s works, as well as their own."
"I bring a lot of motivation and inspiration to my teaching. My aim is to let the person make something that has meaning. It’s passion for the subject really."
Below are some examples of work created by Liz’s A-Level students.
